We went to see a lot of the thermal features in Yellowstone
today. The Grand Prismatic was by far the most beautiful. We learned that even
though the water may not look hot, it can be upwards of 150 degrees! We also
learned about pH balance. That wasn’t as interesting, but it was still
important to learn. After we came back home, we did a team building exercise
with toothpaste. We wrote a word and then had to put the toothpaste back into
the tube…. The lesson: It’s a lot easier for words to come out, but we cannot
bring them back in once they’re out in the open. How true that is…
August 19 - 23, 2013 ten Pittsburgh Area High School Students will be experiencing a five-day adventure learning trip to Yellowstone National Park. The trip is sponsored by Park Journeys, Inc. a Pittsburgh based organization that provides these types of opportunities to Manchester Bidwell Corporation’s network of National Centers of Arts and Technology.
