Pittsburgh MCG - Eve - Day 2
Today we got up bright and early and set off to go look at
all the thermal features in the park. As we were driving down one of the roads
we were lucky enough to see a bison, and got to take some awesome up close
pictures of him/her. Then we headed off to go see Roaring Mountain and learned
our first lesson on thermal features. Soon we got to Old Faithful. While
waiting for the geyser to go off each of us had to find a person to interview.
Luckily I found a nice man named Michael, and my interview project was over
quickly. When we finally saw Old Faithful go off, it was slightly
underwhelming. Old Faithful is one of the main attractions of Yellowstone and
thus, there are a lot of tourists. I felt like the experience was almost taken
away, because of all the people. It is an amazing natural phenomenon and I can
only imagine how awe inspiring it was to see the geyser go off in the eyes of
the first explorers.
