Pittsburgh MCG - Kay (Artist/Mentor) - Day 3

So today we took a nature hike and spotted a lot of Bison. It was like Bison country!!! There were Bison everywhere! It was really cool to hear the sounds that they make. Corey said the Bison sound like pigs on steroids LOL! We also saw a lot of Elk, a hawk and three chipmunks that we all agreed were named Alvin, Simon and Theodore. We also played the position of Rancher, Consumer and Environmentalist and had a debate about Bison being able to roam free. My team and I were the Consumer and we came up with the conclusion that if the National Park Association does not do anything to control the population of disease infected Bison then the death of cattle will ultimately be the fault of the NPA and we feel as though the NPA should collaborate with the ranchers in coming up with a solution. When we got back to our cabins we did a team building exercise where we all formed a circle, held hands as we wiggled and squirmed trying to fit our bodies through a lasso of rope without breaking our human chain that we had formed. It taught us how to work together it was a lot of fun. Lastly we visited an awesome photographer named Tom Murphy. OMG his photography was breath taking!!!  He spends hours, days and weeks camping out in the middle of the wilderness capturing nature and wild life in its natural habitat. A lot of the pictures are really cool because you wouldn’t expect some of the animals to pose the way they do, naturally. He has an image of a bear posing in a yoga stance, an eagle with a bad hair day and another bird sporting a Mohawk.
