Pittsburgh MCG - Trevor - Day 2
You
might think that waking up at 5:30 sounds terrible, but it isn’t that bad, just
rather cold and windy up on a mountain. Sunrise was decent, though it wasn’t
the shades of red and purple from home I see. What was cool was the sun reflecting
off mountain faces. We went to Old Faithful which, in my opinion, was kinda
overrated. We then went to the Grand Prismatic spring. Except we hiked to a
bird’s eye view to look at it. If you haven’t seen it from up higher, you have
no idea what natural beauty is. Think of the rainbow, except it radiating blue
in the middle, and then moving outward. It was beautiful. I also made friends
with a squirrel. It was within a foot and a half of me, and probably would’ve
eaten from my hand. It then tried to steal my box of colored pencils. In all,
an amazing day, with amazing things, and amazing people. I look forward to
tomorrow with even more anticipation.
