Pittsburgh MCG - Myiah - Day 2
Day
2 in Yellowstone was amazing. We got up bright and early and had a nice healthy
breakfast, And then we set off on our adventure of the day. First we saw the
Roosevelt arch, which is an arch where Roosevelt himself laid at stone. Sadly after
that though we had to say bye to Joanna, another instructor on this trip, she
had to go back home. After that we drove in to Yellowstone Park and saw a
bison. We got out of the van and approached it, not too close though because those
things can run fast! We said goodbye to Mr. Bison and headed on our way to the
roaring mountains. The Roaring Mountains are amazing, just imagine a regular
mountain, but with steam coming out of it, incredible right?! Next we were going to see Old Faithful. We
saw lots of hot springs and wildlife on our way to see old faithful. When we
arrived at the old faithful community we had just missed it go off but that’s
ok because Old Faithful erupts every 90 minutes. So in that 90 min span of time
we had to find a person to interview and talk to about our topic. I found a
sweet older couple, who were willing to talk to me, but to my surprise they
knew just as much about my topic as I did, Amazing!!! Lastly we went on a hike
to the Grand Prismatic which was just so wonderful that I am beyond words! It was
if I were looking through a thermal temperature detector. On the way back to
the cabins we saw a bison in the road and two sheep, they were slowing down
traffic but it was totally worth it.
